Event: Cattery Cup

Cattery Cup 2025

The Cattery Cup is back!
Don’t miss a great night out at the Cattery Cup on Friday November 14. Doors open at 6.30pm and the first race commences at 7pm.
On the night the bar will be open and you are welcome to bring your own snacks (please note limited tables are available).
All senior players, supporters and parents of juniors are encouraged to attend our biggest annual fundraiser (please note older juniors already playing seniors are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult).
Tickets are just $10 per head at https://www.trybooking.com/DGWJQ
Wondering what this race is all about? The event consists of 6 races with all your favourite “horses” battling for a spot in the winners race to be crowned the 2nd Annual Cattery Cup champion!
Each race sees 6 *figurative* horses sprinting their way up the 6x6 square grid and back. Their moves are decided by 2 large dice which determine the moving horse, and number of spots they will move on the grid. Check out our poster and you’ll see the “horses” at the starting line!
The winner from each race advances into the final race of the night to compete for the Cattery Cup.
Horses will be auctioned off, both prior to and on the night, with the total money raised from the 6 horses in each race being split 3 ways; 1/3 to the winner of the race, 1/3 to the club, and 1/3 to to prize pool for the winners race at the end of the night.
The inaugural Cattery Cup was a fantastic night out so dress for the races and don’t miss out this time round!

Billeting of Import Players

The term “family” has become synonymous with Carine Cats Baseball. Our values and strong sense of community means that, for many of us, the people that are the Carine Cats often become an extension of our own family.
Every year we welcome our international players (“imports”) to this Carine Cats family. A successful import program means many things to our Club. On the field it’s about adding depth to our State League team through their own contribution as well as being role models for our young home-grown talent. Off the field it’s about coaching our juniors, running holiday clinics and being visible and vibrant members of the Carine Cats.
Our imports will arrive in the coming weeks, and we are now reaching out to our extended Carine Cats family to assist with accommodation. Do you have a spare bedroom in your own home? A granny flat? A rental property? Are there any empty nesters in your own extended family? Is there someone in your street or your own social circle who might enjoy the experience of sharing their home over the summer with an international guest? Can you think of Carine members from “back in the day” who might see this as a good way to reconnect with baseball?
This is an amazing opportunity to welcome a player to Carine, become their home away from home, create long lasting friendships and share your love of baseball!
The Club recognises that hosting adds to household running costs and so will provide financial assistance. The terms of each hosting arrangement will be tailored to ensure that this an enriching experience for both the host and the import. Our imports are here from September/October until March, approximately six months. If you are only able to host for part of this time we would still love to hear from you.

Whilst most of us have been busy with winter sports, quite a bit has continued on through the winter.

Firstly we'd like to congratulate our MP60 Team for becoming the 2022/23 State Champions. They dominated the competition over the Easter Long Weekend.

Secondly we'd like to congratulate our Division 3 Black Team aka G Grade who secured the North Division 3 Premiership, and went on to secure the North V South Division 3 Premiership.

Our next congratulations goes out to our Little League Minor Team who represented the Carine Cats Charter in Blacktown back in July. Loads of fun was had, new friendships, and a great experience for the years to come.

We have a NEW Clubhouse! Stay tuned for the official opening! The facilities look great and will serve the club well for the next couple of years as we continue to grow as the largest diamond sports club in WA.

2023 Mainline Barclay Cup - Oct 1st to Oct 7th 2023. This national competition is being held at Carine for the first time for WA. Named after the late Jacinda Barclay a former Australian National Baseball Representative and AFLW Player, the Barclay Cup is for girls aged 13 - 16. We're really excited to be hosting seven teams from around Australia for the week.
